I RECENTLY PURCHESED A 2008 SCION XB CAR. I'M A MOTORCYCLE MACANIC SO HAULING BIKES AROUND IS PART OF THE JOB. SO ONE OF THE FIRST ACCURIES I PUT ON MY CAR WAS A CURT HITCH FROM THE HITCH STORE I ORDERED THROUGH JOHN. I USED IT QUITE OFTEN AND LOVED IT ALOT. ONE DAY INSTED OF DRIVING MY CAR TO WORK I DECIDED TO RIDE MY HARLEY INTO WORK. THE DAY WAS GOING ALONG FINE I WAS STAYING BUSY. RIGHT BEFORE I WAS READY TO GO HOME I GOT A CALL FROM MY DAD SAYING HOWS YOUR DAY GOING I SEAD FINE. HE REPLIED THATS GOOD I HAVE SOME BAD NEWS YOUR CAR WAS RECENTLY IN A CAR ACCIDENT AND YOUR MOM WAS DRIVING IT.SHE WAS HIT BY A TRUCK IN THE REAR TOTALING MY CAR THE DRIVER WAS TEXTING ON HIS PHONE AND WAS NOT PAYING ATTION TO THE ROAD AND HIT HER. Recently installed a Curt trailer hitch for a 2010 Ford Focus. I watched various videos prior to install. Actually I did the wiring first; very straight forward. I used a floor jack to aid with the hitch install. I would recommend using lock washers on all 6 bolts or at least LockTite. Unit looks great and hides away under rear bumper. Would highly recommend Curt units.
