I was looking for a weight distribution hitch. I priced local RV vendors and other RV parts dealers on-line. I found the HITCH Store to be very competitive on their prices and Jon, the on-line help guy was very knowledgeable and quick to respond. Recommend to anyone.

I bought item #13555, a Class III hitch for my '08 Honda CRV. The hitch arrived a few days later, in good condition, but a part of it was sticking outside of the box. This appeared to be on purpose, as a flap of cardboard was used to protect the area and was covered with tape. There was no damage to the finish, and the rest of the hitch was fine. Otherwise, after seeing the demonstration video on YouTube, installation was pretty easy. I agree with the other reviewers that using WD40 to lubricate the rubber muffler hangers is key; I could imagine wrestling with these for some time rather than the few minutes it took me to free them up. I think the first part of the installation is a two person job. At first I tried to do this myself, but it was too hard to hold the hitch up while trying to place the nuts on the U bolt. I had my daughter place the nuts on the U bolt while I held the hitch in place, but once that was secure, I was able to place the rest of the bolts without help. It was nice to see that the alignment of the holes was spot on. The entire installation took about 25 minutes. As far as hitches go, it looks good, and compares favorably to the factory hitch that Honda sells. I'm really happy with the results!

Sorry to use that subject line, but if people are like me they usually skip over the good reviews and read the bad ones to see what problems people have had. But the use of the word ridiculous is meant in a good way here… I needed a hitch for my new jeep, after searching a few hard to navigate sites I googled into thehitchstore.com where I found my exact part and was placing the order in less than 2 minutes…Quick, easy, and the price was right. I ordered it Wednesday morning and received it Thursday afternoon! I took the hitch out of the box and was immediately impressed by its heavy clean construction. I brought it over to my Jeep with two bolts “just to see if it would fit”, and in seconds had it on. So seeing how easy it was going to be, I got the rest of the hardware and in literally 10 minutes had the thing on, good-to-go… I also ordered a bike rack for the hitch which is also well constructed. The whole process from order to install was ridiculously fast and easy…Very impressed…would recommend Keith_NH
